Avionics Automation Test Engineer II (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States. This position is for candidates seeking to work in U.S. offices and is subject to U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements.

Base salary: $83,200–$104,000 USD annually. Total compensation including equity: $93,275–$121,625 USD annually.

What you will do

• Lead deployment and use of the internal test automation platform for future spacecraft programs.
• Support Assembly, Integration and Test teams during spacecraft test campaigns.
• Collaborate with systems, flight software, ground software, and operations teams to develop features and manage deployments.
• Investigate and resolve software bugs and issues affecting other teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another technical discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in the space industry, preferably with spacecraft testing, systems, or spacecraft software.
• 2+ years of programming experience in distributed applications.
• Experience with Linux.
• Ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance.
• For U.S. office roles, eligibility under U.S. ITAR regulations is required, or the ability to obtain the necessary authorizations.

Nice to have

• Secret or Top-Secret security clearance.
• Experience with Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, networking, IT, pytest, or Robot Framework.
