Software QA Automation Engineer I

Location: Moorpark, California, United States; onsite office and R&D/lab work required

What you will do

• Design, expand, and maintain automated software test suites.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and tools for regression and system-level testing.
• Create test plans, scenarios, and test cases for new functionality with senior QA engineers.
• Define and implement QA practices, procedures, standards, and reporting.
• Identify defects and project risks, assess risk/benefit trade-offs, and propose mitigation strategies.
• Validate software against project requirements and timelines in collaboration with development and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, or equivalent education, training, and experience.
• 1–3 years of relevant QA, test engineering, or related experience; internships and co-ops are acceptable.
• Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows environments.
• Basic scripting experience, preferably with Python; familiarity with Docker is required.
• Ability to work in an office and R&D/lab environment and safely handle lab equipment, cabling, and test setups.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible for an export license under ITAR/EAR requirements.

Nice to have

• Exposure to automated test frameworks or CI tools.
• Experience with C++ and/or C#.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word for test documentation and reporting.
