Senior Trial Attorney

Location: Georgia; hybrid arrangement with onsite work in the Atlanta office two days per week after training and remote work on remaining days.

Salary: $138,000–$243,000 annually; expected starting range of $138,000–$206,000.

What you will do

• Represent clients as lead counsel in commercial and personal lines civil litigation.
• Handle general liability, bodily injury, UM/UIM, complex injury, and subrogation matters across assigned courts and agencies.
• Independently manage a productive caseload with minimal managerial oversight.
• Prepare legally and analytically sound case valuations and communicate updates to clients and claims partners.
• Monitor changes in law, local rules, technology, and procedural requirements affecting litigation strategy.
• Mentor junior attorneys and staff while building professional relationships and referral opportunities.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license in the state where the position is located.
• More than eight years of relevant civil litigation experience in property and casualty insurance defense or subrogation.
• Extensive experience handling defense civil litigation in Georgia state and federal courts.
• Proven trial advocacy, negotiation, analytical, communication, organization, and case-management skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record; credit and/or background checks are required.

Nice to have

• Insurance defense experience involving larger commercial lines cases.
• Experience with complex or large-loss injury cases, including surgery and traumatic brain injury.
• Subrogation experience and dual licensure in Alabama or Florida.
