Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; work arrangement: on-site. Relocation support to San Francisco is available where applicable.

Compensation: $200,000–$400,000 per year, plus meaningful equity.

What you will do

• Own the process from signed customer to delivered evaluation results, including scoping tests and connecting customer agents to the evaluation system.
• Read API documentation, obtain credentials, and build integrations with customer systems and agents.
• Build one-off solutions when a customer does not yet fit the product.
• Deliver technical results directly to customers and determine whether agents meet the hirify.global-1 standard.
• Collaborate with Delivery, engineering, sales, Standards, and customer engineering teams.
• Turn field learnings into reusable product capabilities that enable end-to-end evaluations without an engineer in the loop.

Requirements

• 3–7 years of experience, such as early-stage startup engineering, integrations, solutions engineering, or forward-deployed technical work.
• Software engineering ability to build and debug integrations independently.
• Experience owning customer relationships, scoping work, setting expectations, and communicating difficult updates early.
• Strong customer ownership and the discipline to create reusable solutions.
• Experience founding or co-founding a company.
• Experience with AI evaluations or red-teaming and executive presence with senior stakeholders.
