Salary: $180,000–$300,000 per year.

What you will do

• Build core backend infrastructure for multi-agent AI systems operating across different modalities.
• Develop and scale production services that process thousands of insurance claims monthly.
• Design reliable systems capable of supporting substantial growth and high-throughput workloads.
• Work with vector databases, cloud platforms, Docker, and production-grade deployment environments.
• Ship solutions quickly while taking ownership of complex technical problems.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of engineering experience for junior-level roles or at least 5 years for senior-level roles.
• Expert-level Python and PostgreSQL skills.
• Experience with vector databases, cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS, and Docker.
• Ability to design and scale systems for significant growth.
• Strong problem-solving ability, structured thinking, clear communication, and a track record of shipping production-grade code.
• Willingness to work onsite in San Francisco five days per week.

Nice to have

• AI or machine learning experience.
• Familiarity with insurance industry workflows.
• Previous founding engineer or CTO experience.
