Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid schedule with four days onsite, or three days onsite for employees located more than one hour away.

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own configuration, custom setup, and integration work for enterprise healthcare accounts from requirements through delivery.
• Join customer calls with Customer Success to gather requirements and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into technical plans and answer engineering questions in real time.
• Drive technical workstreams across assigned accounts and determine how and when solutions should ship.
• Identify recurring customer needs and communicate product gaps to Product and Engineering.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in software engineering, solutions engineering, or a similar technical role.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including clean, maintainable code and scalable system design.
• Comfort participating in customer-facing calls and communicating with non-technical audiences.
• Strong problem-solving skills, high agency, and the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
• Experience in a fast-paced startup or high-growth environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Healthcare or healthtech experience.
• Experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Technical Account Manager.
• Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns and collaboration with customer IT teams.
• Experience with AI/ML-powered products or platforms.
• Previous experience at a Series A–C startup.
