Installation Technician/Pipefitter I (Commercial Refrigeration)

What you will do

• Assist with installing commercial refrigeration systems in supermarkets, convenience stores, and cold storage facilities.
• Solder and configure copper piping, install PVC drain pipes, valves, blower coils, orifices, and thermostatic expansion valves.
• Install cabling, communication loops, energy management systems, and refrigerant leak detection components.
• Read and interpret plans, blueprints, specifications, control drawings, technical manuals, and regulations.
• Diagnose water leaks, locate refrigeration leaks, lay out complex coolers, and perform related equipment installation tasks.
• Complete customer paperwork, manage truck inventory, meet project deadlines, and support customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with one year of related experience and/or training, or a technical degree with no experience required.
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret technical plans and documentation.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at high elevations, and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and out of town as required.
• Strong communication, organization, time management, customer focus, judgment, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Nice to have

• Technical degree.
• EPA 608 certification.
