Field Service Engineer (Electrical Engineering)

TL;DR

Field Service Engineer (Electrical Engineering): Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of company equipment at customer sites with an accent on hardware/software diagnostics and electrical schematics. Location: Must be based in or able to work daily from Oakland County, MI (Lake Orion area) when not on assignment.

Salary: $65,000 – $80,000

What you will do

• Install and commission equipment at customer facilities.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues.
• Provide technical support both remotely and on-site.
• Prepare detailed technical service reports and documentation.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to resolve customer technical issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred, but open to experienced non-degreed candidates).
• Proven track record in field service or technical support.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, electronic, and mechanical schematics.
• Proficiency in using an oscilloscope.
• Daily presence in the Oakland County, MI office required when not on assignment.
• Willingness to travel frequently (primarily local to Detroit, MI, with occasional international travel).

Nice to have

• Bilingual ability in English and Spanish.
• Working knowledge of Italian.
