Mission Operator - Palo Alto, CA - Third Shift (Contractor) (Automotive)

Location: Palo Alto, California, United States; third shift. Permanent authorization to work in the United States is required.

hirify.global, a Ford subsidiary, develops automated driving technologies, including Level 3 systems, for Ford vehicles.

What you will do

• Operate prototype Latitude test vehicles safely and in compliance with procedures.
• Complete vehicle inspections, startup, launch, shutdown, testing, and data collection missions.
• Monitor software through a laptop while the vehicle is moving and document test events.
• Escalate safety and performance issues and communicate system strengths and improvement areas.
• Coordinate with engineering and other stakeholders to execute fleet operations.
• Potentially lead a small team or manage a second shift for fleet operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and one to two years of employment experience.
• Valid driver’s license and a driving record meeting hirify.global requirements.
• Experience in a professional environment emphasizing safety, procedures, or software testing.
• Proficient typing, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in close quarters, drive for extended periods, manage multiple projects, and work varying shifts.
• Must pass driving record, drug screening, and criminal background checks and be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States.

Nice to have

• Vehicle or technical product development experience.
• Basic knowledge of Atlassian Jira.
