Sr. Analyst - Healthcare Analytics

Location: Fully remote, but must be based in the United States

What you will do

• Analyze medical and pharmacy claims to develop and maintain data products supporting pricing, quality, compliance, and pharmacy savings initiatives.
• Use advanced SQL, Python, Spark, and Databricks workflows to transform complex datasets into actionable insights and recommendations.
• Investigate data issues, anomalies, root causes, client inquiries, and ad hoc internal requests.
• Own the development, production, validation, secure delivery, and ongoing support of outbound pharmacy data extracts for multiple vendors.
• Partner with Data Engineering, Web Development, and Analytics teams to design, deploy, and maintain complex code and workflows.
• Monitor data quality and performance while improving production release processes, documentation, analytics tools, and departmental workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, or Economics, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 7+ years of data analysis experience, including at least 3 years working with healthcare claims data and complex, incomplete datasets.
• Advanced SQL and strong Python skills, including Pandas, PySpark, and workflow automation.
• Experience with medical and pharmacy claims data, including HCPCS, ICD-10, NDC, and related reference datasets.
• Experience with Excel, distributed data processing platforms such as Databricks and Spark, and cloud data environments including Azure, Microsoft Fabric, or Snowflake.
• Experience creating, validating, automating, monitoring, and securely transferring vendor data extracts through SFTP or approved secure file transfer methods.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD.
