Equipment Specialist I (Lithium-Ion Battery Manufacturing)

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America produces lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles and energy storage applications.

What you will do

• Analyze production equipment problems, conduct root-cause analysis, and execute countermeasures to improve operations.
• Install, maintain, overhaul, troubleshoot, and repair production machines and facility equipment.
• Diagnose issues involving PLCs, sensors, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Replace or repair parts, test equipment, and adjust production lines.
• Modify equipment for new products and process improvements.
• Work with engineers on projects, support parts ordering and fabrication, and train entry-level staff on production equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience maintaining advanced production machinery.
• Demonstrated experience with improvements and root-cause analysis.
• Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, sensor, automation, and industrial skills.
• At least 2 years of high-level experience at Panasonic Energy of North America.
• Valid authorization to work in the United States without restriction is required.

Nice to have

• Associate’s degree, craft apprenticeship, or equivalent education and production maintenance experience.
• Facilities HVAC experience.
• PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
• Machine shop experience.
• Five or more years of manufacturing experience.
