MK1 CAD Drafter III (Aerospace) (Creo/Windchill): Translating spacecraft and launch vehicle structural designs into detailed 3D models, drawings, assemblies, and configuration-controlled documentation with an accent on GD&T, manufacturability, and production accuracy. Focus on developing aerospace detail, assembly, and installation drawings, managing engineering changes, and resolving fabrication issues with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
Location: Space Coast, FL, United States. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or nationals, U.S. permanent residents, refugees, or individuals granted asylum.
Base pay for Washington applicants: $39.34–$55.07 per hour; ranges may differ by site.

What you will do
- Translate engineering designs and sketches into detailed 3D models, drawings, and assemblies using Creo and Windchill.
- Create and maintain detail part, assembly, and installation drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards.
- Develop interface control documents and maintain bills of materials for structural assemblies.
- Perform tolerance stack-up checks and drawing reviews to support manufacturability and dimensional accuracy.
- Process engineering changes, maintain CAD configuration control, and manage versioned documentation in Windchill PLM.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve drawing discrepancies and support first-article inspection and production troubleshooting.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience creating detailed drawings and models for aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicle structures.
- Proficiency with Creo (Pro/E) and Windchill 10.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T principles and ASME Y14.5 application.
- Experience creating drawings for metallic and/or composite structures, including fastener callouts, weld symbols, and standard hardware.
- Ability to interpret engineering intent from sketches, models, and verbal direction while maintaining detailed and accurate documentation.
- Must meet U.S. export-control eligibility requirements.
Nice to have
- Experience with configuration management processes and PLM systems.
- Familiarity with machining, forming, layup, and cure processes for metallic and composite structures.
- Experience supporting first-article inspection and production floor troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of material callouts, material compatibility, and regulated aerospace environments such as AS9100.
