Second Shift Data Center Operations Technician III

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, New York, USA; second shift

Salary: $57,371–$76,529 per year, depending on geographic market, knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional incentives, equity awards, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan may be available.

What you will do

• Monitor and prioritize internal tickets to provide customer support.
• Troubleshoot operating system storage, server hardware, RAID configurations, and connectivity issues.
• Support and upgrade servers running Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu Linux, and VMware ESX Server.
• Perform operating system installations using PXE, firmware updates, IP configuration, and basic administration.
• Install, remove, and test copper and fiber cabling, including Layer 1 connectivity.
• Install and modify switches, firewalls, load balancers, security appliances, DAS/NAS storage, and customer hardware in cabinets.

Requirements

• Must be a US citizen.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of experience working in a data center environment.
• Ability to build, repair, and upgrade hardware components.
• Strong understanding of storage RAID configurations and requirements.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds overhead and work onsite during the second shift.
