Datacenter Operations Manager (Linux/Unix)

Annual salary: $136,500–$253,500, with potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead daily 24x7 operations across enterprise and colocation data center environments.
• Maintain 99.99%+ infrastructure availability through monitoring, maintenance coordination, incident management, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Oversee rack and stack work, structured cabling, power and cooling readiness, high-density CPU/GPU deployments, server provisioning, firmware updates, and bare-metal bring-up.
• Support Linux/Unix environments, including OS provisioning, patch management, access control, performance monitoring, and system troubleshooting.
• Coordinate data center network deployments, connectivity turn-ups, carrier circuits, cross-connects, and colocation customer move-ins.
• Manage vendors, SLAs, change processes, operational runbooks, compliance activities, capacity forecasts, and hardware-related CapEx and OpEx.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• 10–15+ years of experience in IT data center operations.
• Strong production experience with Linux/Unix systems.
• Solid understanding of data center networking fundamentals.
• Experience leading infrastructure deployments, incident response, maintenance coordination, and SLA-driven operations.
