Forward Deployed Engineers (AI)

Location: Berlin, Germany; hybrid work. Willingness to travel to client sites as needed is required.

What you will do

• Embed with customers to understand workflows, constraints, and goals, and define the underlying problem.
• Build production systems using hirify.global's APIs, models, and internal tools.
• Prototype, deploy, iterate, and maintain systems used with real customer data.
• Own projects end to end, from the first customer conversation through deployment.
• Build around platform gaps and communicate recurring patterns to platform and R&D teams for productization.
• Use AI to accelerate implementation while applying engineering judgment to system design and reliability.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience with software shipped end to end.
• Strong proficiency in at least one general-purpose language, such as Python, TypeScript, or Go.
• Ability to work across the stack and learn unfamiliar systems quickly.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience shipping real systems used by real users rather than only completing assigned tasks.
• High agency, strong prioritization, and comfort defining a path through ambiguous problems.
• Experience working directly with customers and translating their needs into implemented systems.
• Clear communication and the ability to explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
