Senior Epic Configuration Analyst

Location: Remote work from Kentucky, United States; occasional travel is required, including travel to Wisconsin 3–5 times during the first 60 days and up to 25% annually. Standard working hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. EST or CST, with occasional weekend work.

Salary: $97,900–$133,500 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Configure and maintain Epic workflows, including Utilization Management letters, work queues, and routing rules.
• Translate clinical and business requirements into configuration specifications and facilitate design sessions.
• Develop and execute testing, support end-to-end validation, and coordinate user acceptance testing.
• Manage defects, documentation, decision records, release activities, and business approvals.
• Support go-live readiness, cutover planning, and operational deployment.
• Identify root causes and recommend configuration or process improvements that reduce rework and improve adoption.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in healthcare, Medicare, or Medicaid environments.
• At least 1 year of experience supporting Utilization Management workflows.
• Epic certification must be obtained within 60 days of completing training.
• Experience analyzing data and applying insights to decision-making.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions and organizational levels.
• A dedicated home workspace and reliable internet with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload are required.

Nice to have

• Epic Tapestry Medical Management Certification.
• Epic Healthy Planet Fundamentals for Health Plans Certification or Healthy Planet Link experience.
• Epic or Cerner experience, Epic analyst accreditations related to Utilization Management, and experience building digital capabilities.
