Systems Analyst Advisor

Location: Hybrid; 1–2 days per week in office in Norfolk, Virginia; Atlanta, Georgia; or Richmond, Virginia. Candidates must live within reasonable commuting distance of a posting location.

Salary: $96,064–$174,432 per year for positions based in Virginia.

What you will do

• Define and manage the scope of business systems projects.
• Define functional, usability, reliability, performance, and support requirements.
• Create and execute feature testing and determine environmental needs.
• Connect business needs with technical solutions and collaborate with business, architecture, and infrastructure stakeholders.
• Oversee service levels, develop use cases, and estimate application functionality enhancements.
• Identify future system opportunities and enhancements and support IT learning and mentoring initiatives.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 6 years of experience with a variety of technologies, requirements documentation, and/or test-case development.
• Strong knowledge of tools used for business systems analysis and testing.
• Experience with mainframe computers, hardware and operating systems, and testing or product-quality processes is strongly preferred.
• Experience in an Agile work environment and familiarity with SQL are preferred.
• Participation in an on-call rotation providing 24/7 support for seven consecutive days approximately once every four months.

Nice to have

• Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst certification.
• Experience with Rational tools, Six Sigma, or other process-improvement training.
• Experience with enrollment processes or FACETS software.
• Knowledge of the healthcare sector.
