HVAC/R Lab Technician (Commercial Refrigeration)

What you will do

• Set up hirify.global merchandisers and install refrigeration, electrical, and data acquisition instrumentation.
• Conduct performance testing using established procedures and applicable industry standards.
• Build and modify product configurations to support test setup and operations.
• Analyze test data and prepare or present reports documenting findings and key learning.
• Assist with structural, sound, transit, and other floor testing assignments.
• Collaborate with the R&D Lab team, share technical learning, and follow company safety protocols.

Requirements

• Technical Certificate in HVAC is required.
• At least one year of experience is required; recent graduates may be considered.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC and refrigeration trade tools and processes, including brazing and electrical work.
• Computer skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn data acquisition and evaluation systems.
• Good listening, communication, teamwork, and report preparation skills.
• Universal EPA refrigerant-handling certification is preferred.

Nice to have

• Technical associate degree.
• Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Two or more years of laboratory, HVAC, or refrigeration experience for higher technician levels.
