TL;DR
Deputy Project Manager (Aerospace): Supporting the delivery of lunar rover development programs with an accent on project planning, resource allocation, budget control, supplier coordination, and customer reporting. Focus on monitoring critical supplier milestones, identifying schedule dependencies and risks, and maintaining delivery visibility across complex spaceflight hardware projects.

hirify.global develops lunar rovers and supports lunar exploration programs from teams and locations across Luxembourg, Japan, and the United States.

What you will do

  • Support project planning, execution monitoring, prioritization, and deviation management for lunar rover development programs.
  • Coordinate suppliers, customers, contractors, project resources, contractual clarifications, and milestone reviews.
  • Manage resource allocation, capacity planning, forecasting, budget estimates, and baseline expenditure monitoring.
  • Identify project risks, dependencies, critical paths, schedule impacts, and mitigation actions.
  • Prepare project plans, schedules, status reports, presentations, KPI reports, risk registers, and customer review packages.
  • Act as a key operational partner to the Project Manager and serve as the PM’s delegate when required.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in engineering, such as aerospace, mechatronics, or telecommunications.
  • 3–5 years of experience supporting or leading engineering projects in aerospace, space, defense, robotics, or high-technology sectors.
  • Understanding of project management methods covering cost estimation, planning and control, resource management, risk assessment, and stakeholder reporting.
  • Experience with project documentation, multidisciplinary stakeholder coordination, analytical problem-solving, and prioritization in complex project environments.
  • Experience supporting spaceflight hardware development programs.
  • High proficiency in English is mandatory. Ability to travel up to 25% of the time is required.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of systems engineering, fabrication, integration, quality, configuration management, and product lifecycle management.
  • Experience managing international suppliers, subcontractors, and distributed teams.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Jira, Confluence, or equivalent tools.
  • Familiarity with PMI, ECSS, or equivalent project management frameworks.
