Technical Program Manager (Data Platform)

What you will do

• Own the Data Platform roadmap, milestones, dependencies, trade-offs, and major organizational commitments.
• Lead risk, control, audit, regulatory, and remediation work across the engineering estate.
• Deliver cross-cutting programs involving platform migrations, adoption, decommissioning, data models, APIs, query performance, and AI enablement.
• Support budget planning, forecasting, headcount and vendor spend, cloud consumption, and cost-efficiency reporting for the Lakehouse.
• Build platform health, adoption, delivery, cost, and user-experience metrics.
• Partner with engineering leadership, architects, divisional users, Risk, Compliance, and other stakeholders to connect delivery with commercial outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical or business discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of technical program or project management experience delivering complex engineering programs, ideally in data, platform, or infrastructure organizations.
• Strong SQL and working knowledge of relational and analytical databases, data modeling, APIs, and public cloud fundamentals.
• Experience delivering technical outcomes with engineering teams and managing dependencies, risks, and issues across multiple teams.
• Ability to communicate complex technical problems, plans, and trade-offs to engineers and senior non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, ownership, and execution skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Lakehouse and data platform technologies such as object storage, Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake, Spark, Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.
• Knowledge of data contracts, semantic modeling, governance, lineage, access control, and data APIs.
• Understanding of AI and machine-learning delivery, retrieval-augmented generation, LLM applications, and related data foundations.
• Python scripting or data manipulation skills.
• Experience in technology risk, controls, audit, regulatory programs, financial services, or open-source data tooling.
