Production Supervisor, Assembly - B Shift (Lithium-Ion Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in De Soto, Kansas, United States. B Shift runs nights from 6:45 PM to 7:30 AM on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday. Applicants must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

What you will do

• Lead daily shift operations to achieve production, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Plan work assignments and enforce standardized work instructions, SOPs, Lean manufacturing, 6S, and SQDCP initiatives.
• Train, coach, and supervise Skilled Machine Technicians and other team members.
• Coordinate with HR, leadership, manufacturing process engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders on employee relations, PFMEA, control plans, and risk mitigation.
• Monitor quality and safety performance, contain defects, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent relevant work experience.
• At least 3 years of progressive leadership experience in a high-volume, 24/7 manufacturing environment, or 2 years as a PECNA Process Lead.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, 6S, continuous improvement, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
• Working-level English proficiency is required for reading, writing, and speaking.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Five or more years of leadership experience with direct oversight of hourly staff in lithium-ion, electronics, chemical, or regulated manufacturing.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher, OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification, and experience with PFMEA, control plans, root cause analysis, ERP/MES systems, or SQDCP metrics.
• Japanese or Spanish language skills.
