Field Operations Manager, Via Student Transit (Public Transportation)

Location: Seattle, Tacoma, and Tri City; fully in-person and onsite 4–5 days per week

Salary: $65,000–$75,000 per year, excluding equity or variable pay where applicable

What you will do

• Run daily onsite operations to deliver safe, reliable, and accessible student transportation.
• Make real-time decisions about driver supply, compliance, student needs, and unexpected service issues.
• Guide and support drivers, build strong working relationships, and address operational concerns.
• Translate student and district feedback into actionable service and process improvements.
• Use data and technology to evaluate performance, diagnose problems, and improve efficiency and rider experience.
• Coordinate operations between school partners, districts, drivers, and hirify.global’s central teams.

Requirements

• Experience in operations, people management, logistics, customer service, or process-oriented work.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and follow-through skills.
• Hands-on, proactive approach with a willingness to work in the field and solve problems onsite.
• Ability to handle immediate operational issues while developing longer-term solutions.
• Commitment to the importance of student transportation for education and community access.
