Software Development Manager (iGaming)

Location: Romania, Bucharest; hybrid and remote work arrangements are available.

What you will do

• Lead several software engineering teams through hands-on guidance, mentoring, performance reviews, objective setting, and professional development.
• Drive Agile Scrum adoption, facilitate delivery, and align team execution with sprint goals and project objectives.
• Partner with product owners and business stakeholders to define scope, requirements, priorities, timelines, resources, and budgets.
• Work with technical leads and architects to maintain software quality, scalability, development standards, code quality, and testing practices.
• Introduce AI tooling across coding, code review, testing, documentation, and release processes; establish safe-use guidelines and upskill engineers.
• Manage delivery risks and impediments, improve team processes, and communicate project status and issues to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience managing software development teams in an Agile Scrum environment.
• Strong knowledge of Agile principles, Scrum, Jira, software development methodologies, programming languages, and relevant technologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, project management, and resource management skills.
• Ability to make data-driven decisions and manage delivery timelines, risks, and budgets.
• Practical experience rolling out AI-assisted development tools and training engineers to use them effectively is an asset.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with iGaming casino aggregation, including game provider and aggregation platform integrations.
• Experience managing B2B clients and delivering bespoke iGaming frontends for operator partners.
