Manager - Software Engineering (AI)

Location: Turin, Italy; hybrid work mode. Applicants may be required to attend onsite interviews at a hirify.global office.

What you will do

• Build and lead a high-performing engineering team delivering highly scalable web-based software.
• Provide project-based technical leadership and guide complex technical problem solving.
• Drive adoption of AI-native development practices, including agentic workflows, spec-driven engineering, and AI-powered tools.
• Partner with Product and Architecture leaders to identify AI opportunities that improve delivery and customer outcomes.
• Translate business needs into team capability, hiring, organizational, and career-development plans.
• Set performance goals, remove blockers, support feedback cycles, and contribute to recruiting and interviews.

Requirements

• At least a couple of years of people-leadership experience.
• Experience with modern software engineering practices, including AI-assisted development, agentic workflows, and spec-driven approaches.
• Strong understanding of cloud application development, Microsoft .NET, C#, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, SQL databases, and Git.
• Strong knowledge of Agile practices, ideally including TDD, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Experience developing engineering evaluation criteria, career planning, and a high-performance engineering culture.
• Fluent Italian and English required.
