Engineering Manager

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid with at least 3 days per week in the local office

What you will do

• Lead and manage engineers across frontend, backend, and full-stack development.
• Own engineering delivery for major product areas, balancing speed, reliability, scalability, and technical quality.
• Partner with product, design, mobile, backend, and AI teams to turn ambiguous product problems into clear technical execution.
• Drive architecture and engineering decisions across APIs, databases, integrations, infrastructure, and customer-facing systems.
• Set standards for code quality, system design, testing, observability, security, and production reliability.
• Coach engineers, manage performance, improve processes and tooling, and own incident resolution and root-cause prevention.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering background with experience building and shipping production systems.
• Experience leading or managing software engineers and owning engineering delivery.
• Technical depth across backend, frontend, APIs, databases, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure.
• Experience making architecture trade-offs and taking products or systems from idea through development, launch, and production.
• Strong people leadership, product sense, ownership, and ability to work effectively with ambiguity.
• Strong English communication is required; English is the main working language.
