What you will do
- Own the US industry, regulatory, and government affairs strategy, including advocacy roadmaps, stakeholder mapping, and engagement plans.
- Monitor, assess, and escalate political, regulatory, and geopolitical developments affecting the US business, market access, and competitive position.
- Lead senior engagement with government stakeholders, Congress and Senate contacts, trade associations, diplomatic services, chambers of commerce, and external advisers.
- Align advocacy positions, messages, and response strategies with Business Units, Legal, Corporate Strategy, and Corporate Communications.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives addressing US regulatory priorities, strategic industry issues, and business development opportunities.
- Translate institutional intelligence into risk mitigation, opportunity identification, executive recommendations, and measurable engagement outcomes.
Requirements
- University degree in Economics, Business, Law, International Relations, Public Policy, or a related field; equivalent senior experience is also considered.
- 15–20 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, regulatory affairs, industry affairs, or strategic stakeholder management.
- Demonstrated success leading complex advocacy strategies in highly regulated environments and influencing senior government, industry, and corporate decision-makers.
- Knowledge of the US political, regulatory, and institutional landscape, including technology, travel, digital services, and market access.
- Understanding of EU–US relations, trade, digital policy, AI, data, competition, and travel technology.
- Full professional proficiency in English, with strong executive presence, negotiation, presentation, judgement, and coalition-building skills.
