What you will do

• Develop policy strategies, goals, and outcome-based action plans with the Director.
• Lead policy shaping activities to improve Japanese patient access to innovative medicines, including new modalities.
• Address pricing, regulatory, CEA, and patient access matters with internal and external stakeholders.
• Analyze policies for selected therapeutic areas and lead strategy development and execution.
• Create stakeholder-focused narratives and policy materials in Japanese and English.
• Collaborate with Asia Pacific, global, cross-functional, and industry association stakeholders to maximize impact and strengthen the organization’s reputation.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant Government Affairs and Policy experience, preferably in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, government, or consulting.
• Deep knowledge of the healthcare industry, pharmaceutical business, regulatory environment, and healthcare policy.
• Proven stakeholder relationship-building, influencing, negotiation, and project team management experience.
• Excellent Japanese written and verbal communication skills and sufficient English skills for verbal communication, writing, and policy documents.
• Ability to anticipate emerging issues, prioritize risks and opportunities, and develop proactive and reactive strategies.
• At least a bachelor’s degree; an MBA, MPH, master’s degree, or equivalent is advantageous.
