TL;DR
Manufacturing Technician (Semiconductor Equipment): Building, integrating, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical subassemblies for advanced lithography equipment with an accent on precision assembly, specialized testing, and cleanroom manufacturing. Focus on interpreting engineering documentation, performing soldering and system verification, troubleshooting gas and water systems, and validating production processes.

Location: San Diego, California, United States; onsite manufacturing environment

Salary: $22.90–$34.34 per hour

hirify.global develops, integrates, markets, and services advanced lithography machines used by leading semiconductor manufacturers to produce smaller and more capable microchips.

What you will do

  • Assemble, install, inspect, test, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical subassemblies.
  • Perform soldering of small wires and components under a microscope and use specialized tools and test equipment.
  • Conduct leak testing, Hi-Pot testing, alignments, pressurization, and other system verification activities.
  • Read engineering drawings, schematics, Bills of Material, routing sheets, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Maintain production records, ERP transactions, inventory tracking, material movement, and production reporting.
  • Follow cleanroom, 5S, quality, contamination-control, and safety procedures; train team members as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree in electronics, manufacturing technology, engineering technology, mechatronics, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Experience using electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical tools is required.
  • Ability to read technical documentation and troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, technical communication, and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology under United States export regulations.

Nice to have

  • Two or more years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, production testing, electronics, semiconductor, aerospace, medical device, or similar technical environments.
  • Experience in cleanrooms or controlled manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with soldering, cable assembly, calibration, metrology, precision measurements, inspection processes, SAP, or similar ERP systems.
