Technician IV - Production Test (Power Electronics)

What you will do

• Prepare test setups for power supply production units.
• Perform board-level switching power supply tests according to production procedures.
• Conduct top-assembly tests, including vibration and thermal cycling.
• Analyze and summarize test results, write technical reports, and troubleshoot issues at board and assembly levels.
• Build and troubleshoot test fixtures, cables, harnesses, and electronic load banks.
• Test magnetic assemblies such as inductors and transformers, including burn-in and life testing.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in electronics or an equivalent field.
• 5–7 years of hands-on experience testing switching power supplies or related power electronic circuits.
• Knowledge of basic electronics, switching-mode power supplies, and analog circuits.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and calculate power dissipation and efficiency.
• Experience using oscilloscopes, current probes, DMMs, bench-top power supplies, and electronic loads.
• Must provide proof of US citizenship, permanent US residency, or protected-individual status under US export-control requirements.
