Module Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: On-site in Phoenix, Arizona, United States; may require day or night shift work as an on-shift engineer.

Annual salary: $120,860–$231,670 USD.

What you will do

• Own one or more 300mm toolsets across lithography, wet etch, dry etch, diffusion, implant, planar, or thin films.
• Define process-module roadmaps, process flows, procedures, and equipment configurations for new technologies.
• Select and develop materials and equipment to meet quality, yield, reliability, cost, productivity, and manufacturability goals.
• Plan and conduct experiments, establish process-control systems, and sustain modules through volume ramp.
• Lead tool installations, conversions, qualifications, technology transfers, and new factory start-up support.
• Drive improvements in tool availability, cycle time, matching performance, process stability, safety, and defect density.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience, Master’s degree with 6+ years, or PhD with 2+ years in electrical engineering, chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related engineering STEM field.
• Engineering experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing ramps and technology transfers.
• Teamwork, leadership, communication, prioritization, and structured problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work across process engineering, integration, and yield organizations.
• Ability to work on-site in Phoenix, Arizona, with possible day or night shift assignments.

Nice to have

• Experience in an advanced-node semiconductor foundry.
• Prior semiconductor factory experience as a technician or engineer.
• Statistics and experimental design applied to tool matching, qualification, and process development.
• Troubleshooting experience.
