Manufacturing Equipment Technician (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Phoenix, Arizona, United States. Day Shift 5: 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., Sunday–Tuesday and alternating Wednesdays.

Salary: $60,450–$99,770 annually; hourly role.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, dismantle, repair, adjust, and assemble electromechanical semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Set up, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance on wet chemistry, plating, and dry high-vacuum toolsets.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, parts usage, and findings in established systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, process, and support teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Lead or contribute to root cause analysis, yield and uptime improvements, and maintenance optimization projects.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a technical field plus 2+ years of equipment maintenance experience; or a STEM bachelor’s degree plus 1+ year of experience.
• Alternatively, a high school diploma/GED plus qualifying manufacturing, military technical, equipment maintenance, or technical/trade certification experience.
• Strong troubleshooting, data analysis, problem-solving, communication, and basic computer skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple toolsets, and resolve nonstandard issues.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom for extended periods, wear required protective equipment and respirators, lift up to 35 lbs, climb ladders, and spend over 90% of the shift on the manufacturing floor.

Nice to have

• Experience with electromechanical equipment used in semiconductor manufacturing.
• Experience with wet chemistry, plating, or dry high-vacuum equipment.
• Experience using multimeters, oscilloscopes, calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, and standard hand tools.
• Ability to interpret complex electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
