Industry Lead - Food & Beverage Retail

Location: Remote; periodic travel to portfolio company locations is required, with frequency varying by business needs.

What you will do

• Support P&L management across a portfolio of 4–6 specialty food and beverage retail businesses.
• Help business leaders create annual plans and track revenue, EBITDA, cash flow, and other KPI targets.
• Identify underperformance and collaborate on turnaround strategies, process improvements, and new initiatives.
• Partner with company leaders on growth plans, capital investment strategies, and operational improvements.
• Prepare and present regular updates on performance, risks, and opportunities to the parent company.
• Identify cross-portfolio synergies across shared services, procurement, and best practices while supporting governance and compliance.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, FP&A, business operations, or a similarly analytical and high-accountability environment.
• Strong financial acumen in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis.
• Demonstrated analytical rigor, including building P&L analyses and operating models from first principles.
• Ability to build trust and influence experienced operators without direct authority.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an interest in coaching business leaders.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.

• MBA or similar advanced degree.
• Experience operating with imperfect information, evolving priorities, and limited resources.
