Senior Fullstack Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Remote within California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, or Washington. hirify.global's headquarters are in Brooklyn, New York.

Salary: $170,000–$230,000 per year, depending on experience and interview performance, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Build 0-to-1 Medicare and Medicaid products that help users understand coverage, find savings opportunities, and enroll in healthcare plans.
• Develop iOS and Android applications using Vue, TypeScript, and Capacitor.
• Build server-side software with Python and Flask, using Postgres, Redis, AWS, and open-source technologies.
• Design reliable, scalable, and maintainable software systems used by millions of people.
• Collaborate with Product and Design on project scoping, architecture, tooling, and healthcare and government integrations.
• Participate in code reviews, engineering culture initiatives, and the on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing, building, shipping, and maintaining complex full-stack software.
• Fluency in Python and JavaScript, or willingness to learn and specialize in these languages.
• Ability to work effectively in a startup environment with ambiguity and high autonomy.
• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Computer science degree or equivalent fundamentals learned through other experience.
• Must be located in one of the states where hirify.global has an established entity.

Nice to have

• Experience with government services, especially SNAP, WIC, TANF, SSI, SSDI, Medicaid, or Section 8.
• Startup experience.
