Senior Fullstack Software Development Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States; hybrid with an in-office expectation of at least 50% of the time, typically three days per week.

Salary: $180,000–$225,000 starting base salary per year, plus equity and additional compensation components.

What you will do

• Build customer-facing web, mobile, and backend experiences for high-value international money transfers.
• Lead technical design and architecture for complex, ambiguous, and greenfield systems.
• Deliver reliable, observable, scalable, and resilient services that meet strict availability and latency SLOs.
• Partner with product managers, designers, analysts, and engineering teams to translate customer needs into technical solutions.
• Use AI tools throughout the software development lifecycle to improve development speed while maintaining quality and security.
• Mentor engineers, lead technical discussions, conduct code reviews, improve engineering practices, and participate in on-call support.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience building and operating systems end-to-end.
• Strong computer science, web, native application, and software design pattern fundamentals.
• 3+ years of React or React Native experience, with customer-facing product-scale development using TypeScript, React, and native mobile technologies.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Kotlin, Java, Go, or Python, with production-quality software development experience.
• Experience designing distributed large-scale systems, service-oriented or microservices architectures, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience, plus strong collaboration skills.

• Experience in fintech, payments, or other regulated industries where reliability, security, and compliance influence engineering decisions.
