Corporate Counsel (Cybersecurity & Enforcement)

Location: United States — Remote

Salary: $183,600–$270,000 USD per year, plus potential equity grants.

What you will do

• Advise on cybersecurity risks, programs, technologies, incidents, and evolving legal and regulatory requirements.
• Lead the legal response to cybersecurity incidents and investigations, including response strategy, legal obligations, and communications.
• Develop strategies to investigate, disrupt, and pursue bad actors targeting hirify.global, its customers, merchants, and partners.
• Build programmatic enforcement strategies across cybersecurity, digital investigations, and legal proceedings.
• Work with legal, security, and broader business teams on complex, high-impact matters.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of legal experience and a Juris Doctor.
• Experience in a law firm, government, or in-house legal department.
• Experience with cybersecurity, cybercrime, enforcement, commercial litigation, technology, or related legal issues.
• Ability to understand complex legal and technical issues and translate them into practical advice.
• Ability to lead complex, high-stakes matters and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Authorization to practice law in the U.S. state where you are located.

Nice to have

• Experience as a prosecutor or government attorney handling cybercrime, fraud, technology-related investigations, or enforcement matters.
• Experience working with law enforcement on complex investigations.
• Experience pursuing or supporting civil or criminal actions against bad actors.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity laws, regulatory investigations, incident response, and cybersecurity disclosure obligations.
