Casualty Claims Examiner

Location: Hybrid position based out of the Richardson, Texas office; 3 in-office days per week after orientation and up to 4 days per week during the 6-month training period. Core hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM CST, with possible early or late shifts based on business needs.

Salary: $69,700K–$105,000K, commensurate with experience and location/job market. A $2,500 sign-on bonus may be available.

What you will do

• Guide policyholders, claimants, and other parties through the claims process while delivering high-quality customer service.
• Investigate claims, confirm coverage and policy provisions, assess liability, and determine legal responsibility.
• Evaluate damages, set and adjust reserves, identify potential fraud, and authorize payments within assigned authority.
• Negotiate settlements with insureds, claimants, and attorneys from representation through settlement or verdict.
• Ensure claims handling complies with Department of Insurance guidelines, insurance code requirements, and internal procedures.
• Communicate high-exposure or unusual-loss findings to claims management and participate in claims forums.

Requirements

• Minimum three years of highly successful bodily injury claims handling experience.
• Prior private passenger automotive liability claims experience.
• Active adjuster license at the time of hire.
• Customer service, professional written and verbal communication, negotiation, organization, judgment, and prioritization skills.
• Knowledge of Department of Insurance guidelines and requirements established in the Insurance Code.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
