Sr. Claims Examiner

Location: Remote - USA; the role is associated with Garden City, NY and requires occasional travel.

Salary: $80,000–$100,000 annual.

What you will do

• Assess coverage and adjust third-party liability losses, including General Liability and Commercial Auto Liability claims.
• Investigate, evaluate, and bring nonsuit and litigation claims to disposition.
• Ensure proper reserving of losses and prepare substantive claim reports.
• Assign and manage independent adjusters and other vendors.
• Work with clients, brokers, attorneys, and internal departments.
• Identify subrogation and risk transfer potential, prepare coverage correspondence, and handle reinsurance reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent life experience.
• At least five years of experience handling general liability claims.
• General Adjuster’s license in the designated home state and ability to obtain licenses in other states.
• Good telephone demeanor and proficient PC use.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally.
