Kubernetes & OpenShift Engineer

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Design, deploy, operate, and continuously improve enterprise-grade Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms.
• Manage the complete platform lifecycle, including cluster provisioning, hardening, workload onboarding, and ongoing operations.
• Enable application developers and partner with application, security, and infrastructure teams.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability and security of mission-critical container workloads.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of production container-platform experience, including 3 or more years with Red Hat OpenShift.
• Deep hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes and OpenShift internals, including operators, CRDs, RBAC, and networking.
• Strong Linux administration, networking, performance-tuning, troubleshooting, scripting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Helm.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with Tekton, Jenkins, or Argo CD, plus familiarity with monitoring, logging, tracing, and container image security.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; new H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.

Nice to have

• Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or an architect-level Red Hat certification.
• Experience operating OpenShift on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with OpenShift Service Mesh, Istio, or Linkerd.
• Familiarity with PCI-DSS, HIPAA, or SOC 2 regulated environments.
• Experience with GitOps workflows using Argo CD or Flux.
