Platform Infrastructure Engineer (OpenShift)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Design, deploy, operate, and continuously improve enterprise-grade Red Hat OpenShift container platforms.
• Manage the end-to-end platform lifecycle, including cluster provisioning, hardening, workload onboarding, and ongoing operations.
• Enable application developers through stable, secure, and developer-friendly container platforms.
• Implement infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines across OpenShift and Kubernetes environments.
• Partner with application teams, security engineers, and infrastructure stakeholders.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, document, and improve platform reliability and security.

Requirements

• U.S. work eligibility is required; new H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least five years of production container-platform experience, including three or more years with Red Hat OpenShift.
• Deep hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes and OpenShift internals, including operators, CRDs, RBAC, and networking.
• Strong Linux administration, scripting, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, tracing, and container security experience.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or an architect-level Red Hat certification.
• Experience operating OpenShift on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Service mesh experience with OpenShift Service Mesh, Istio, or Linkerd.
• Experience with PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOC 2, or other regulated environments.
• GitOps experience using Argo CD or Flux.
