Platform Infrastructure Engineer (OpenShift)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Design, deploy, harden, and operate enterprise-grade Red Hat OpenShift platforms across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Own the complete platform lifecycle, including cluster provisioning, workload onboarding, developer enablement, and ongoing operations.
• Partner with application teams, security engineers, and infrastructure stakeholders to deliver a stable, secure, developer-friendly container platform.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines on OpenShift or Kubernetes using Tekton, Jenkins, or Argo CD.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, document, and continuously improve platform reliability, performance, and security.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of production container-platform experience, including at least 3 years with Red Hat OpenShift; 6+ years of overall experience is listed for the position.
• Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes and OpenShift internals, including operators, CRDs, RBAC, and networking.
• Strong Linux administration, networking, performance-tuning, troubleshooting, and scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Go.
• Experience with infrastructure as code using Ansible, Terraform, or Helm, plus monitoring, logging, tracing, and container image security.
• Applicants must be based in the United States and must be U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, or eligible for H-1B transfer; new H-1B petitions cannot be sponsored.

Nice to have

• Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or an architect-level Red Hat certification.
• Experience operating OpenShift on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Exposure to OpenShift Service Mesh, Istio, or Linkerd.
• Experience with PCI-DSS, HIPAA, or SOC 2 environments.
• GitOps experience with Argo CD or Flux.
