TL;DR
Senior Training and Technical Assistance Manager (Instructional Design and Federal Programs): Developing and delivering training curricula, technical assistance materials, and knowledge bases for Refugee Resettlement and Unaccompanied Alien Children programs with an accent on stakeholder support, government priorities, and program evaluation. Focus on researching instructional content, directing classroom and web-based instruction, documenting best practices, and overseeing automated training materials.

Location: On-site in Washington, D.C.; candidates must reside in the Washington, D.C. area full-time and travel intermittently across the continental United States.

What you will do

  • Research, develop, and revise training courses, including outlines, handouts, visual aids, recorded sessions, and computer-aided tutorials.
  • Deliver classroom instruction, seminars, workshops, and web-based training.
  • Research and draft technical assistance deliverables and guidance documents based on professional standards and monitoring findings.
  • Create and maintain an internal knowledge base and common articles for system-related questions.
  • Coordinate with federal staff to align training materials with government priorities and stated objectives.
  • Track training activities, evaluate program effectiveness, and document best practices and lessons learned.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in instructional design, technical assistance, or professional training.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory or team lead experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Certified Professional in Training and Development certification or a similar certification is preferred.
  • Full-time residence in the Washington, D.C. area and intermittent travel across the continental United States are required.
