Senior Instructional System Designer (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States; U.S. citizenship required. Must be available during East Coast core hours from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and maintain a reliable high-speed internet connection. Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance is required.

What you will do

• Lead the analysis, design, development, delivery, and deployment of instructional assets across classroom, virtual, hybrid, online, and interactive formats.
• Define learning objectives, identify content gaps, and recommend effective instructional strategies using adult learning principles and the ADDIE methodology.
• Develop instructional frameworks, storyboards, courses, curricula, student guides, training manuals, simulations, interactive stories, and games.
• Create multimedia learning experiences using authoring, visual, audio, animation, and text-to-speech tools.
• Use AI-enabled tools such as Copilot and ChatGPT to improve instructional design and development efficiency while maintaining quality.
• Lead cross-functional development teams, manage multiple projects, monitor milestones and risks, and ensure timely delivery of learning assets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience in senior instructional systems design or a closely related role.
• Experience developing courses with Lectora or comparable instructional authoring tools.
• Strong knowledge of instructional systems design, adult learning theory, ADDIE, experiential learning, and learning asset development.
• Experience with Section 508 accessibility requirements, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and multimedia tools such as Vyond, Camtasia, or Adobe After Effects.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain the required security clearance. An active public trust clearance is preferred.
