TL;DR
Acquisition Management Specialist (Defense Acquisition/AI-ML): Directing the lifecycle development, fielding, and sustainment of offensive and defensive PNT and multi-domain sensor platforms with an accent on acquisition strategy, software agility, and cyber, electronic warfare, and intelligence architecture integration. Focus on developing acquisition documentation, coordinating milestone reviews and program meetings, aligning programs with DoD directives, and supporting rapid prototyping and modernization against near-peer threats.

Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, United States; on-site

Salary: $130,000–$170,000 annually

What you will do

  • Direct the lifecycle development, fielding, and sustainment of offensive and defensive PNT and multi-domain sensor platforms.
  • Govern electronic warfare and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance programs through the Defense Acquisition System framework.
  • Select and execute acquisition pathways, including the Software Acquisition Pathway, to support rapid prototyping and software agility.
  • Develop and maintain acquisition strategies, program baselines, decision memorandums, schedules, budgets, requirements analyses, and program briefings.
  • Prepare for and participate in IPTs, milestone decision reviews, program management reviews, quarterly program reviews, technology readiness assessments, and budget reviews.
  • Coordinate program documentation, meeting records, reports, recommendations, and schedule updates for senior management and PM PNT stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of relevant experience, master’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or related military service with 15 years of experience in DoD acquisition programs.
  • Experience developing, reviewing, and presenting briefings to senior management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML software pipelines, RF engineering concepts, and software-defined architectures.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of DoD 5000-series directives, including DoDI 5000.01, DoDI 5000.02, DoDI 5000.87, and AR 70-1.

Nice to have

  • Back-to-Basics Program Management Certification at the Advanced or Practitioner level.
