Location: Washington, DC area; onsite work is required as needed to support customers, programs, and classified work. Travel to subcontractor facilities is also required as needed.
Base salary: $166,400β$249,000 USD annually, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do
- Manage day-to-day relationships with major defense primes and specialized technical subcontractors supporting public sector programs.
- Translate prime contract milestones and requirements into subcontractor deliverables, timelines, dependencies, and acceptance criteria.
- Integrate subcontractor activities into Integrated Master Schedules and identify risks, dependencies, and schedule impacts.
- Establish operating cadences covering status reviews, action tracking, risk management, decision logs, and escalations.
- Lead subcontractor onboarding, security and access requirement flow-down, documentation, invoicing, billing, and other administrative workflows.
- Hold external partners accountable for scope, timelines, reporting, corrective actions, and delivery quality while coordinating with technical leads, program managers, customers, and government stakeholders.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret clearance.
- 5+ years of experience in program management, technical program management, subcontractor management, defense acquisition, systems integration, or a related field.
- Experience managing external organizations against defined scope, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and formal program reviews.
- Experience with Integrated Master Schedules, Work Breakdown Structures, Statements of Work, deliverable tracking, and integrated program plans.
- Strong technical acumen covering software, systems integration, interfaces, dependencies, and technical program plans.
- Strong communication, organizational, risk management, influence, and accountability skills across technical and administrative domains.
Nice to have
- Experience with major defense primes, Department of Defense or Intelligence Community contracts, and government contracting structures including FAR/DFARS flow-downs.
- Experience managing technically complex software, AI/ML, data, or systems integration subcontractors.
- Familiarity with generative AI, agentic workflows, APIs, data pipelines, modern software architectures, or classified program environments.
- Experience with subcontractor invoicing, cost tracking, forecasting, and financial reconciliation.
- Domain knowledge related to homeland layered defense.
