Senior Electronics Hardware Engineer (Medical Devices)

Salary: €64,640–€96,960 per year, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Incentive Plan.

What you will do

• Design analog, digital, power, sensor-interface, and mixed-signal electronics for medical devices and physiological monitoring systems.
• Own complete PCB and PCBA development from requirements, schematic capture, component selection, and multilayer layout through prototype bring-up, verification, manufacturing release, and lifecycle support.
• Apply signal-integrity, power-integrity, EMC, ESD, electrical-safety, DFM, DFA, and DFT principles to create robust and manufacturable designs.
• Perform circuit simulation, tolerance and worst-case analysis, debugging, failure analysis, and root-cause investigation.
• Develop hardware test fixtures and automated laboratory tests using Python and/or LabVIEW, including instrument control, data acquisition, analysis, and reporting.
• Lead technical reviews and collaborate with systems, software, mechanical, test, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, and sourcing teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, with typically 5 or more years of relevant product-development experience.
• Hands-on experience independently delivering complete PCBAs, including schematic design, PCB placement and routing, bring-up, verification, and manufacturing release.
• Proficiency with a professional ECAD platform, preferably Altium Designer, including library management, design-rule configuration, and manufacturing-output generation.
• Practical medical-device development experience with IEC 60601-1 and IEC 60601-1-2, including electrical safety, essential performance, EMC, and verification.
• Experience with Python and/or LabVIEW for hardware test automation, laboratory instrumentation, data acquisition, and analysis.
• Experience with physiological monitoring, pulse oximetry, EEG-based devices, respiratory monitoring, optical sensing, biopotential acquisition, or low-noise analog front ends.
