Sr Electronics Hardware Engineer (Medical Devices)

Salary: €64,640–€96,960 per year, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Incentive Plan short-term incentive.

What you will do

• Design analog, digital, power, sensor-interface, and mixed-signal electronics for medical devices and physiological monitoring systems.
• Own complete PCB and PCBA development from requirements, schematics, and component selection through layout, prototype bring-up, verification, manufacturing release, and lifecycle support.
• Define multilayer PCB stack-ups and implement placement, routing, grounding, shielding, controlled impedance, power distribution, electrical isolation, and thermal design.
• Lead prototype characterization, systematic debugging, failure analysis, root-cause investigation, and technical design reviews.
• Develop hardware test cases, fixtures, and automated laboratory tests with Python and/or LabVIEW, including instrument control, data acquisition, analysis, and reporting.
• Collaborate with systems, software, algorithms, mechanical, test, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, and sourcing teams while mentoring less-experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, with typically 5 or more years of relevant product-development experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering complete PCBAs, including schematic capture, PCB placement and routing, bring-up, verification, and manufacturing release.
• Proficiency with a professional ECAD platform, preferably Altium Designer, including library management, design rules, and manufacturing-output generation.
• Practical knowledge of multilayer PCB design, signal integrity, power integrity, EMC, ESD, electrical isolation, creepage, clearance, grounding, shielding, and thermal design.
• Medical-device development experience with IEC 60601-1 and IEC 60601-1-2, including electrical safety, essential performance, EMC, and verification activities.
• Experience with Python and/or LabVIEW for hardware-test automation, plus strong laboratory debugging and failure-analysis capabilities.

Nice to have

• Experience with physiological monitoring, pulse oximetry, regional oximetry, EEG-based devices, respiratory monitoring, optical sensing, biopotential acquisition, low-noise analog front ends, and photodiodes.
