What you will do

  • Own and optimize multiple defect and review metrology toolsets used in semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Analyze equipment and process performance using data extraction, statistical methods, visualization, and trend or outlier analysis.
  • Troubleshoot complex equipment issues, develop scalable solutions, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Improve tool performance and optimize recipes through sustaining and innovation activities.
  • Lead cross-functional equipment improvement initiatives and influence stakeholders to implement operational changes.
  • Support recipe development, optimization, and transfers to maintain high-sensitivity defect detection.

Requirements

  • Level 8 NFQ degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline, such as physics, chemistry, materials science, electrical, mechanical, chemical, or mechatronics engineering, nanotechnology, or mathematics.
  • 4+ years of experience in an equipment engineering environment or similar industry.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and hands-on equipment troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with data extraction, validation, statistical analysis, and visualization using JMP or similar tools.
  • Ability to work autonomously with ownership, manage ambiguity, and communicate complex technical information clearly.
  • Experience working in cross-functional and multicultural teams.

Nice to have

  • Background or hands-on experience in optics.
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or related high-tech industries.
  • Experience with yield analysis, defect reduction methodologies, process improvement, or equipment automation systems.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tools or activities simultaneously.
