Cost Manager - Data Center

What you will do

• Deliver end-to-end cost control services covering budgets, forecasts, cash flow, financial reporting, and project value.
• Own cost-related processes for prime and subcontractor scopes while supporting project managers.
• Coordinate client billing, invoice processing, purchase orders, and change order documentation and management.
• Analyze Procore usage and implement tools and process improvements to streamline cost data.
• Coordinate cost-related hand-offs across preconstruction, construction, and operations, including participation in preconstruction meetings.
• Align cost management with scheduling, procurement, risk management, and project delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing costs for hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center projects.
• 5+ years of data center construction scheduling and/or project management experience.
• Strong understanding of data center cost drivers, including MEP-intensive systems, high-capacity electrical infrastructure, cooling technologies, and IT/telecom integration.
• Knowledge of material costs, labor rates, and supply chain risks in relevant markets.
• Experience with contract support, negotiation, change order review and analysis, monthly invoicing, client billing, and change management.
• Strong communication, reporting, ownership, accountability, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of data center or mission-critical experience.
• Success managing complex, phased scheduling strategies in high-performance projects.
