Senior Avionics Software Engineering Support (C++)

What you will do

• Support development of Operational Flight Program software for a major U.S. Air Force F-16 upgrade program.
• Support engineering design, development, integration, verification, airworthiness qualification, and fielding of F-16 flight, radar, display processor, and related software.
• Support implementation of Operational Flight Program updates under F-16 development procedures.
• Monitor and assess prime contractor development of a new Systems Integration Lab.
• Support Warfighter Council Review and Pilot Early Look meetings, including requirements refinement, Pilot Vehicle Interface requirements, and coordination of program interdependencies.
• Help resolve Software Program Anomaly Reports, WITs, and related defects.

Requirements

• Active or current Top Secret security clearance verifiable in DISS is required.
• An ABET-accredited undergraduate engineering degree is required for engineering positions; electrical, aerospace, or computer engineering backgrounds are recommended.
• Master’s or doctoral degree plus at least 10 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in the DoD; or a bachelor’s degree plus at least 12 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in the DoD; or 15 years of directly related experience with the required certifications, including 8 years in the DoD.
• Expertise in U.S. military aircraft Operational Flight Program development is recommended.
• Experience translating and re-hosting programs from older to newer computer languages and processors is recommended.
• Expertise in C++ is recommended.
