Senior Technical Advisor - Aviation Platforms/Engineering Systems

Location: Place of performance is in Huntsville, Alabama or the Washington, D.C. area; CONUS and potentially OCONUS travel is required.

What you will do

• Develop and implement integrated intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance solutions across space, aerial, and ground environments.
• Lead cross-functional technical teams delivering integrated engineering, architecture, platform integration, and data interoperability solutions.
• Oversee secure infrastructure, network, system architecture, data analysis, and threat analysis activities.
• Establish scalable methodologies for rapid prototyping and demonstrate solutions in operationally relevant environments.
• Assess prototypes against technical and operational performance criteria and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Support baseline change reviews, technical responses, cost estimates, contract performance, and technical mentorship.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
• 10–15 years of direct engineering and integration experience supporting government programs, preferably the Army.
• Experience managing DoD aviation hardware and software product development projects.
• Experience with model-based systems engineering, human-systems integration, and agile development lifecycles.
• Relevant experience with ISR architecture, sensors such as RF/EW, SAR, EO/IR, and SIGINT, avionics integration, and DoD communications networks.
• Top Secret/SCI security clearance is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the Army’s Vision 2030 Plan and Army Intelligence and Security Enterprise stakeholders.
• Experience with AI, machine learning, autonomous systems, advanced networking, and real-time data fusion.
• Army and Joint Force ISR platform, sensor, and network experience.
• Program management or product line management experience.
