TL;DR
Systems Engineer - VL-60 - Security Clearance Eligibility Required (Aerospace) (aircraft simulation, systems architecture): Leading the end-to-end design, development, integration, and validation of complex aircraft simulators with an accent on requirements traceability, real-time simulation models, and multidisciplinary systems integration. Focus on developing MBSE/SysML architectures, supporting HIL/SIL testing, managing network and virtualization infrastructure, and resolving security issues related to DISA STIGs.

Location: Orlando, Florida, United States; work at the facility requires US person eligibility. International and OCONUS travel is required. A valid US passport is preferred, or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hiring is required.

What you will do

  • Lead software and systems engineers in the design and development of complex aircraft simulators.
  • Manage system requirements and traceability from concept through verification.
  • Design and integrate real-time models for aerodynamics, flight controls, propulsion, and aircraft systems.
  • Develop system architectures, system diagrams, interface control documents, integration plans, and interface definitions using CAMEO or similar tools and SysML.
  • Coordinate software, hardware, avionics, modeling, and simulation disciplines while supporting HIL/SIL testing and acceptance procedures.
  • Support simulator installation, configuration documentation, technical demonstrations, debugging, and security-related system maintenance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least five years of systems engineering and related technical experience in simulation, process control, or aerospace.
  • Experience with CAMEO or similar tools, SysML, requirements analysis, system architecture, MBSE/MBD, verification, and risk management.
  • Knowledge of control systems, network infrastructure, Cisco switches, routers, virtualization, Windows, Linux, storage, Active Directory, backup systems, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Must be a US person to work at the facility and must be eligible for any required US Government security clearance.
  • Must possess a valid US passport or be able to obtain one within 90 days of hiring; international travel is required.

Nice to have

  • Aircraft, avionics, flight simulator, or aerospace control systems experience.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
  • Python or C++ scripting experience.
  • Experience with complex-system test planning, Extended Reality integration, or simulation image generator integration.
