What you will do

• Lead technical architecture and design for the Integrated Account System Modernization Project within the Tax Modernization Program.
• Analyze existing mainframe applications, databases, interfaces, and batch processes.
• Support conversion of legacy mainframe systems to new technology platforms.
• Develop and maintain complex tax accounting applications using COBOL, APS, CICS, IDMS, DB2, MQ Series, JCL, and TSO.
• Design and optimize DB2 for z/OS and DB2 for LUW database structures, including databases containing one terabyte or more of data.
• Perform application development, data conversion, integration, system testing, implementation, troubleshooting, performance analysis, and tuning while providing architectural guidance to technical teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of COBOL programming experience in an IBM mainframe environment.
• At least 3 years of IBM DB2 for LUW experience, including work with databases of one terabyte or larger and XQuery.
• At least 7 years of experience with IDMS and DMLO, APS and CICS, IBM MQ Series, IBM DB2 for z/OS, IBM MVS JCL, and TSO.
• At least 7 years of application performance analysis and tuning experience.
• Hybrid work in Albany, New York, United States is required.
